NADA’s NC chair calls auto bailout a good step forward

Most General Motors and Chyrsler dealers across the state are breathing a sigh of relief.

The National Auto Dealers Association is the voice of local auto dealers across the country.

NADA chair Annette Sykora called today’s action, “The first step toward restoring consumer confidence.”

Bringing it closer to home, Burlington, NC auto dealer David Westcott, who sells GM and foreign makes and is the North Carolina chair for NADA, said of the news, “Good step forward, good for the economy.”

Westcott also sells some foreign nameplates at his dealership. He said the domestic makes are every bit as good as the foreign makes and the volume of warranty work has dropped dramatically in recent years, which is a good measure of improved quality.
