NC court to hear lawyers on Edwards sex tape case

HILLSBOROUGH, NC (AP) — An Orange County Superior Court judge
is set to hear arguments over the disclosure of material in the
civil lawsuit involving John Edwards and a purported sex tape.

A hearing is scheduled for Friday morning in Hillsborough.
Lawyers for Rielle Hunter accuse Andrew and Cheri Young of
improperly giving material to prosecutors in Edwards’ separate
criminal case. Hunter is Edwards’ former mistress.

Andrew Young was an aide on Edwards’ unsuccessful 2008
presidential campaign. Hunter is suing the Youngs for the return of
personal property, including what’s reputed to be a sex tape
featuring Edwards.

Hunter’s lawyers want the Youngs or their lawyers held in
contempt of court over the disclosures. The Youngs’ lawyers say
their clients have not willfully violated any court order.
