NC joins Connecticut for ‘Day of Mourning’ Friday

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Gov. Bev Perdue has joined Connecticut Gov. Daniel Malloy in declaring a “Day of Mourning” tomorrow in the wake of last week’s school shooting.

People are encouraged to participate in a statewide moment of silence at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow for a time of reflection and mourning.

Gov. Malloy has requested each state take part.
