NC Marine pilot charged with indecent exposure
JACKSONVILLE, NC (AP) — A pilot at the New River Marine Air Station has been charged with indecent exposure in Jacksonville.
Onslow County sheriff’s deputies have charged 37-year-old Maj. Danny Cohlmeyer of Jacksonville is accused of performing a lewd act in front of a woman at a gas station.
The woman told deputies that while she was pumping gas, a man naked from the waist down stepped out of a pickup truck while performing a lewd act.
The man drove off after she told him she was calling deputies. She recorded his license number and he was arrested Sunday night.
Cohlmeyer is an MV-22 Osprey pilot and assistant operations officer for a squadron at New River.
It was unclear if he has an attorney.
