NC native Scotty McCreery plays to sold-out crowd at Trask Coliseum

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Native of Garner, North Carolina with a bass voice that melts teen girls across the country, Scotty McCreery performed to a sold-out crowd at Trask Coliseum.

Scotty sang his first single “I Love You This Big” and several other hits from his debut album, clear as day.
We caught up with Scotty before he took the big stage.

“I’ve been on the road now for a while and I did the American Idol tour and I’m on tour with Brad Paisley right now and the Band Perry,” McCreery said. “We’re getting to go to a lot of cool places and see some nice things and stuff but there’s nothing like coming home to North Carolina in front of the home state and seeing the fans.”

Scotty started singing at the young age of three. He says he hopes he can continue singing for the rest of his life.
