NC authorities catch juvenile who escaped
ELIZABETHTOWN — State and local law enforcement officials have caught a juvenile who escaped a boy’s camp in southeastern North Carolina.
The Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention said the juvenile ran away Tuesday night from Camp E-Tik-Etu at Elizabethtown. The agency identified the boy Wednesday only as “Anthony S” from Brunswick County.
No details were provided on where or how he was found.
Spokesman William Lassiter said the boy exhibited aggressive behavior during his escape and officials were concerned about the public’s safety.
There was no information released on the youth’s criminal history or his age.
