NC authorities investigating teen’s death

CEDAR MOUNTAIN, N.C. — Investigators are waiting for autopsy results to determine how a 19-year-old man died in Transylvania County.

The Asheville Citizen-Times reported Monday that Sheriff David Mahoney said the body was found Saturday in a Cedar Mountain residence. The community is southeast of Brevard near the North Carolina-South Carolina state line.

Mahoney says investigators think the man died during the night but no other details were immediately available. The man’s name has not been released.
