NC conference explores influences on construction

RALEIGH — North Carolina’s State Construction Office is sponsoring an annual conference that will explore how financial events of 2009 have influenced the industry.

Senate President Pro Tem Marc Basnight will speak at the luncheon Tuesday.

The event is full and organizers say no walk-in registrations will be accepted.

The event attracts contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects and representatives of state agencies. This year’s conference is being held at the McKimmon Center in Raleigh.

Topics to be discussed include bonding and insurance, standards and performance.
