NC man pleads guilty to murder of theater manager
RALEIGH — A North Carolina man has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the shooting death of a Raleigh theater manager last year.
WRAL-TV reported that 40-year-old Anthony Joseph Bimbo was sentenced to life in prison by a Wake County judge Wednesday for fatally shooting 48-year-old Mark Douglas Buhaug in a robbery at Marquee Cinemas in October. Buhaug died of a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Authorities say Bimbo fled the scene, broke into a home and held a family at gunpoint. He stole a minivan and drove to New Jersey where he was arrested by authorities.
Two other men also face murder charges in the case.
