Negotiations continue for new port
The state of the economy may have one of the Ports Authority’s private partners for the international terminal in Southport thinking twice.
The Ports Authority’s Karen Fox said Cal-East Global Logistics is evaluating the economy.
In the meantime, Fox said negotiations between the company and the Ports Authority will continue.
The Ports Authority continues to seek private partners for the $1.7 billion port, which is a private-public partnership.
