Neighbor files police report against Dudley Mansion owners

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The controversy continues with the Dudley Mansion in Downtown Wilmington. The owners may face criminal charges after this weekend.

Phoebe Bragg lives next door to the historic mansion, where she said a wedding took place Saturday Night. Bragg said she woke up Sunday morning to find sparklers thrown on her newly painted porch and backyard. Bragg filed a police report and intends to press arson and intentional malice charges.

The city is suing the Dudley Mansion for violating city zoning ordinances. In July a judge denied a preliminary injunction to stop the owners from hosting special events like weddings.
