New 300,000 square foot warehouse coming to Port of Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A new 300,000 square foot warehouse is expected to be constructed at the Port of Wilmington by the end of next year.

A real estate development firm out of Jacksonville, Florida called Chesterfield is behind the project.

The facility will be located 0.9 miles form the port’s south gate and will have a minimum 32 foot clear height, as well as more than 100 dock doors.

It will sit on a 23 acre plot of land and an adjacent eleven acre plot is available for expansion.

The goal is to attract companies in the distribution and logistics sector to become tenants of the warehouse.
