New Cape Fear Museum director starts tomorrow

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The New Hanover County Commission welcomed the Cape Fear Museum’s new director in a meeting Monday afternoon.

Sheryl Mays starts as the new director Tuesday. Mays is coming to us from historic Jamestown in Virginia and has been a museum professional for 25 years.

Mays replaces Ruth Haas who had been at the Cape Fear Museum for over a decade.
