New details released in Shallotte armed robbery

SHALLOTTE, NC (WWAY) — Shallotte Police have released new details into an armed robbery at a Big Lots.

Police said the robbery happened last night around 9:30 p.m. at the store in the 4600-block of Main Street.  They said two suspects armed with handguns approached employees leaving the store and forced them back into the business to get money from the safe. The robbers took an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.
