NEW DETAILS: Some parks remain closed due to ice

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Falling ice forced the closure of parks in New Hanover County Wednesday morning.

The county said many county parks will be closed until 1 p.m. out of safety concerns for the ice. Those parks include Hugh McRae Park; Airlie Gardens, however, opened at 11 a.m.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Ogden Park walking trail, Summer Rest Trail, Castle Hayne Park and Riverside Park remained closed.
