NEW DETAILS: Victim identified in motel shooting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A man continues to recover from a hotel shooting.

Wilmington Police say around 6 a.m. Sunday they responded to the Budgetel Inn on Market Street. Witnesses told police they heard two men arguing outside and then gunfire. When police arrived they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The 33-year-old victim has been identified as Barry Maultsby. There’s no word on his condition, as his name is not listed in the hospital’s public directory.
