New developments in missing man case
WILMINGTON — Martin Garza was last seen on January 21 in the Wallace area. Now detectives need your help to find two men wanted for questioning in Garza’s disappearance.
Socrates Gomez and Wilmer Alvarado are not listed as suspects in the case but investigators believe the two men were with Garza shortly before he disappeared and may know some details about what happened.
Garza’s truck was found abandoned last Tuesday at a car lot in Johnston County with its front seat covered in blood and shell casings on the floor.
Surveillance video from the car lot shows two men getting out of Garza’s truck and into another vehicle. Detectives say it’s possible the two men in the video could be Gomez and Alvarado.
Officers from multiple agencies have been combing areas along i-40 from Wallace to Raleigh hoping to find signs of Garza. Investigators say with each day that passes by with no signs of Garza there is less hope to find him alive.
If you know where he is or know where Gomez and Alvarado are you can call 911.
