New driver’s handbook available to NC motorists
RALEIGH, NC (AP) — Motorists across North Carolina now have the latest rules and regulations at their disposal to keep up with state driving laws.
The state Division of Motor Vehicles is distributing the newest edition of the North Carolina Driver’s Handbook. The book has been updated with the most recent changes to driving laws from the NC General Assembly. The new edition has been reformatted to its earlier digest size and contains 88 pages of rules, laws, signs,
signals and tips.
Handbooks will be available at driver license offices across the state within the next two weeks. They’re also issued to first-time drivers through the Department of Public Instruction and driver education classes.
NCDMV will post the handbook on its website and is also translating the new edition into Spanish for online reading.
