New ferry schedule set for Sunday

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) – You may need to adjust your weekend plans if you were going to use the Southport-Fort Fisher ferry.

Because of scheduled maintenance on the ferry, the route between southport and fort fisher will have only one boat running this Sunday morning.

Here’s the amended schedule.

• From Southport: 7 a.m., 8:30, 11:30, 1p.m.
• From Fort Fisher: 7:45 a.m., 9:15, 12:15 p.m.

Maintenance is expected to be finished in time for the route to begin it’s regular schedule by 1:45 p.m the same day.
