New Hanover and Brunswick County beaches getting federal funding

Some New Hanover and Brunswick County beaches are getting federal funding to help combat erosion. The counties will get a total of nine million federal dollars to re-nourish their beaches. Six and a half million will go to all New Hanover County beaches and two and a half million will go to Ocean Isle beach in Brunswick County. The beaches are all due for re-nourishment in 2010.
