New Hanover baseball coach Richard Foy announces retirement after 13 seasons

(STARNEWS) — Arguably the most successful baseball coach in New Hanover High School history is stepping away.

Richard Foy told the StarNews on Monday night that he was retiring as the Wildcats’ head coach, a position he’s held since 2008.

Foy finishes his career with a record of 191-90 and two state championships.
