New Hanover Co. ABC Stores could close as early as Friday

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — If you need to make a run to the liquor store ahead of Hurricane Matthew, you might want to get on that pretty soon.

A spokeswoman said New Hanover County ABC Stores could close early because of the storm.

Shelves are mostly fully-stocked right now, but shoppers are encouraged to make plans to head to the store before Friday because they are prepared to close as early as then for the safety of workers and customers.

A spokeswoman said New Hanover County ABC Stores will be back open after Matthew passes, and after the properties are assessed.
