New Hanover Co. schools talk overcrowding, redistricting
NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — In early spring, New Hanover County school board members stalled on passing plans to redistrict and move hundreds of high schoolers.
Today though, they are bringing the issue back up before the school year is out.
At 5 p.m., board members had been meeting for about an hour to hold a workshop on high school redistricting.
They are expected to look after a host of options for handling overcrowding in high schools including extra mobile units
They are also taking over bonds for future projects that could address the ongoing issue.
We will have more tonight on WWAY News at 11.
