New Hanover County pastor charged with additional child sex crimes

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A New Hanover County pastor is facing more child sex crime charges.

Jonathan Ballard, 54, was charged with 14 counts of indecent liberties with a minor and sexual exploitation of a minor charges in July.

According to inmate records from the Brunswick County Detention Center, Ballard was arrested again on Friday and charged with two counts of statutory rape and two counts of indecent liberties with a child.

Ballard was given a $100,000 bond by the judge and appears to have bonded out of jail.
