New Hanover County man under $1 million bond on child sex charges

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) – A man is in the New Hanover County jail facing several charges involving a child.

Deputies arrested Michael Edward Brown, 66, on Friday.

Brown is charged with four counts of first degree sex offense of a child and four counts of indecent liberties with a child.

According to warrants, the alleged crimes happened from December 1, 2014 to March 19, 2015.

The child was 10 years old at the time.

He is in jail under a $1 million bond.
