New wine bistro headed to Downtown Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – Downtown Wilmington will soon be getting a new restaurant.

Perkeo is moving into the space that once was home to Deluxe.

Two friends who met while working for a defense contractor plan to open a wine bistro in the fall.

Lynn Adkins and Malissa Mashburn have enjoyed traveling the world, tasting wines and food and hope to bring some flavor to the Port City.

“It’s just a passion of both of ours. We really like food, and we really enjoy wine, and finding a wine and a food that matches really well is a big passion of ours, and that’s kind of what we want to bring to Wilmington,” said Mashburn.

Perkeo will feature a variety of local and imported wines.

Cuisines will include Asian, American and European foods.

Perkeo is expected to open in September and is located at 114 Market Street.
