New Hanover County Library book sale

If you are looking to grow your library without shrinking your budget, the New Hanover County Library is holding a used book sale this weekend.

The Friends of the New Hanover County Public Library will hold their semi-annual sale at the Northeast Regional Library on Military Cutoff. Books for all ages and all interests will be on sale.

The book sale is completely operated by volunteers, and the proceeds buy new library materials and fund special events.

“You can find books here that you just can’t find anywhere else and they’re valuable books that are no longer in circulation. You can’t find them at the new books stores, and if you have a favorite book from years past, you might find it here,” said Dennis Fuller, a organizer of the sale.

Last year the sale raised about $50,000. The sale is open to the book-loving public Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. On Sunday the doors will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
