New Hanover Regional Medical Center hosts job fair

There is some good news on the economic front. While many businesses are cutting back, New Hanover Regional Medical Center is hiring.

A job fair was held Saturday for nurse aides in the Betty H. Cameron Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Qualified candidates were able to speak with hiring managers on the spot.

Tough economic conditions are not hindering the hospital’s hiring.

“We’ve been very fortunate we do have a lot of openings in addition to these. We have about 175 openings to fill throughout the entire hospital so we’re still recruiting,” said NHRMC Human Resources Director Jenny Creamer.

Job openings include nurses, emergency department technicians, as well as finance and IT positions. If you’re interested, you can contact the hospital for more information.
