New HBO series to film in Wilmington
WILMINGTON — A new HBO series will begin filming in Wilmington this month.
The British sketch comedy “Little Britain” will open offices at Screen Gems Studios Monday.
The show was originally scheduled to film here last fall, but was pushed back because of the writers strike.
Screen Gems Vice President Bill Vassar says the studio isn’t known for doing comedy so this is a great opportunity.
American Idol creator Simon Fuller is one of the show’s producers.
And for all those One Tree Hill fans – the show was picked up for another season.
