New mobile crisis unit

A new mobile crisis unit is helping emergency responders keep our area safe.

It is managed by Evergreen Behavioral Management.

The group of mental health service providers is on call 24-7. They can even talk to patients via satellite if necessary.

They started three months ago and have been very busy.

Evergreen regional director Kevin Deloach said, “With the overabundance of calls in the hospitalization, things of that nature, the mobile crisis job is actually to reduce the influx of consumers, of patients in the ER, or the hospitals, or the state psychiatric hospitals as well.”
