Microburst causes damage to parts of Pender in weekend storms

Strong storms rolled through parts of Pender County Sunday. After several reports of damage, the National Weather Service sent a crew out to surveyed it Wednesday morning, determining it wasn't caused by a tornado.

National Weather Service in Wilmington said a tornado touched down near Shallotte in Brunswick County. Estimated maximum wind speed was 65 miles per hour.
