New Hanover Co. Board of Education reception postponed

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) –The New Hanover County Board of Education will not be swearing in its members Tuesday night as originally planned.

Instead, the meeting has been rescheduled until after the election results are certified. Republican candidates, Lisa Estep, Jeanette Nichols and David Wortman will be sworn in at the end of the month.

The reception, which was originally scheduled for Tuesday evening, will now be held December 20th at 5:00 p.m. at the Board of Education Center.

Both Estep and Nichols have served on the school board before, but for Wortman this will be his first time serving.
