NHC Commissioners host third town hall meeting Wednesday

New Hanover County, NC — New Hanover County Commissioners will host the third of five planned town hall meetings on August 18th at the Town of Carolina Beach Municipal Building. The public is encouraged to attend the town hall meeting beginning at 6:30 pm. Commissioners are giving residents an opportunity to address the Board with their concerns on any topic facing the county. The town hall meetings are also meant to help educate residents on the various services offered by the county.

Town hall meetings give constituents the opportunity to express their opinions in an open forum without having to attend a regular board meeting. Other town hall meetings have been held in Wilmington and Ogden. Other forums are planned to be held this year in the Castle Hayne area and Monkey Junction.

The town hall meetings will also be streamed live on the county’s website, www.nhcgov.com, and televised on New Hanover County Television, Charter Cable channel 5 and Time Warner Cable channel 13.
