NHC Parks post-storm status

New Hanover County, NC (NEWS RELEASE) — Airlie Gardens will remain closed today due to standing water, and the final concert scheduled for tonight remains cancelled. Airlie Gardens will reopen to visitors on Saturday.

Snows Cut Park will reopen on Saturday. All athletic fields except Veterans Park soccer fields will remain closed the entire weekend.

Blue Clay Bike Park will be closed thru the entire weekend.

Summer Rest Trail sustained drainage and walkway problems and will remain closed until further notice while contractor makes repairs next week.

Hugh MacRae gazebo and pond area has considerable flooding and is also expected to remain closed throughout the weekend. Barricades have been installed to block access on footbridge.

All other parks are open for recreation.
