Search for missing man leads to dead body

The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office found the body of a man reported missing.

Just before 10:00 Friday morning, officials found 51-year-old Arild Funderud.

Detectives do not suspect foul play. Funderud was last seen around 7:30 Thursday night at his home on Farrington Farms Road.
