NHCSO says missing senior citizen located

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — UPDATE: The woman has been located and returned home safely.

The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing senior citizen.

According to a release from the NHCSO, Catherine Jones McNeil, 73, was reported missing on Thursday.

She is a 5’4″ African American woman weighing around 130 lbs with black eyes, a red wig, and medium build.

Officials say she was last seen along Highway 421 wearing blue jeans, a brown leather jacket, and red shoes.
