NHHS still waiting decision about Jap Davis Field House

The field house for the New Hanover High School football team was deemed imminently dangerous in December of 2007, but players and coaches continued to use the Jap Davis Field House until mid-July.

The school board will not make a decision on the renovation of the building until a full investigation into the building’s structure is finished.

Yesterday a work crew tested the foundation. Throughout the last week or so there have been other tests as well.

Three options will be presented to the school board and they hope to make a decision by September 1st.
