No charges in crash that killed pedestrian

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A driver who hit and killed a woman in New Hanover County early this morning will not face charges.

It happened on Castle Hayne Road near the GE plant around 5:30 a.m.

Troopers say 37-year-old Sakinah Cook was standing in the road when the car hit her. The investigation has determined the driver involved was not at fault.
