No one hurt in apartment fire

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington firefighters responded to an apartment fire at 1328 Wellington Ave. around 6:19 this morning. The fire was quickly knocked down and contained to the area where it started.

The fire department says the women who lived the apartment was able to get herself and her cats out. There were no injuries reported.

Damages are estimated at $20,000 to the structure and $5,000 to contents. Investigators are on the scene trying to figure out what started the fire, which they say was accidental.
