No new water, sewer permits in Brunswick County

BRUNSWICK COUNTY — While New Hanover County is gearing up for more construction, Brunswick County is slowing down.

The North Brunswick Sanitary District is not issuing any new water or sewer permits for new construction because of problems with the water pressure.

The ban affects the Brunswick Forest and Mallory Creek developments.

Officials say the communities need a one million gallon elevated water tank to meet current and future demand.

They hope to meet with developers next week to decide who will foot the bill, and the timetable for the project.
