NOAA weather radio transmitter off air in Winnabow

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The NOAA Weather Transmitter is unable to broadcast right now out of Winnabow.

NOAA has been warning people on Twitter about the outage with the possibility of severe weather Sunday night. If you rely on the radio for severe weather alerts, there are other ways to get notifications. The Winnabow Transmitter covers Bladen, Brunswick, Pender, New Hanover, and Columbus Counties.
