North Brunswick carpentry class makes big donation to Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office
LELAND, NC (WWAY) — The carpentry class at North Brunswick High School presented the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office with several pieces of agility training equipment today for their K-9 Unit.
The Sheriff’s Office brought several K-9’s out to the football field to show the students how the dogs are trained. Project leader Garrett Hilbourn says the project has been very rewarding.
“Just being able to watch our stuff in use and knowing that we didn’t build it for no reason”, says Hilbourn, “they’re really going to use it to help keep stuff off the streets.”
The Sheriff’s Office says the partnership really helps out both sides and they are ready to put the equipment to good use with the K-9 Unit.
