North Topsail town manager resigns

NORTH TOPSAIL, NC (WWAY) — The town manager of North Topsail Beach submitted his resignation Wednesday.

Steve Foster has worked for the town since 2010.

Foster is leaving to take a position as town manager of Oak Island.

In his letter addressed to the Board of Aldermen, Foster wrote, “I cannot begin to tell each of you how much I have enjoyed working with you over the last two and a half years. This has been one of the most gratifying experiences for me in my career in the municipal management business. The Board has tackled some rather large public policy issues, and while there has been debate, it was always in the spirit as to what is best for the Town.”

Foster’s last day will be October 25th. The town will search for his replacement immediately.
