Northeast snow forces cancellations at ILM

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The snow may have stopped falling long ago here in Southeastern North Carolina, but the weather continues to affect travelers in the area.

According to Wilmington International Airport’s website six flights in or out of ILM have already been canceled as of 6:55 a.m.

Three arrivals are affected. They are Delta 5510 from Atlanta, which was scheduled to arrive at 11:38 a.m, US Airways 3900, scheduled to arrive from Philadelphia at 10:57 a.m, and US Airways 3081 from LaGuardia scheduled to arrive at 11:28 a.m.

Continued heavy snow in the Northeast has forced the cancellation of three flights out of ILM. USAirways 3010 to New York-LaGuardia, which was scheduled to depart at 8:20 a.m., USAirways 3296, scheduled to leave for Philadelphia at 8:50 a.m., and USAirways 3900, a scheduled 11:25 a.m. departure to Philadelphia, have been canceled.

With the possibility of more delays and cancellations, check with your airline before heading to the airport.
