Northeast interceptor work continues

WILMINGTON — The City of Wilmington has announced that work on the Northeast Interceptor force main will continue past it’s original completion date.

The improvements consisted of three projects. The city has already reclocated more than a mile of NEI. they have also upgraded the Hewlett Creek pump station on Pine Grove Drive.

The final project involves repairing one-half mile of NEI in the Greenville Loop Road area. The city hopes to have the repairs done by mid march.
