Northwest Mayor shares inauguration tales with Lincoln Elementary students

Fifth graders at Lincoln Elementary weren’t able to be at President Obama’s inauguration, but they had a special visit from someone who did.

Northwest Mayor James Knox shared his Washington DC experience with the students.

Knox made the trip with Bolton Mayor, Frank Wilson. They received inauguration tickets from Congressman Mike McIntyre.

Knox said they had a great view from their bleacher seats.

The kids enjoyed hearing all about Knox’s trip to the historic ceremony and the inaugural parade.

Fifth grader Connor Fennel said, “I learned a lot about President Barack Obama. It was real nice to hear from Mr. Knox about how he was there and what he saw and what he heard.”
