Nudist resort changes hands

A Brunswick County resort that caters to an alternate lifestyle has closed its doors – for now.

The Whispering Pines Nudist Resort opened near Ocean Isle Beach about 35 years ago. According to the resort’s website, Whispering Pines has been sold and is now under new ownership.

The year round resort is temporarily closed while the new owner makes repairs and upgrades.
The resort is scheduled to reopen – still as a nudist resort – in March.
