Oak Island police search for home break-in suspects

OAK ISLAND, NC (WWAY) – The Oak Island Police Department is searching for the two people wanted for breaking into homes on the island.

Police say a man and woman are accused of taking household items such as a bar table and chairs, decorative wall hangings and television. Police say they may be using them at their own home or trying to sell them.

The man is between 5’8″ and 5’11”, has shaggy dirty blond hair, has a slim build and weighed between 150-160 pounds. He was seen wearing a ball camp.

The woman is around 5’7″, skinny, has sandy brown hair that may have a red tint and was worn in a ponytail. She had a light complexion and is in her early 30s.

Police say the were driving a small truck that has an extended cab, but not a 4 door model. It was possibly dark blue or black and was pulling a trailer.
