Oak Island Police searching for suspects in credit card fraud

OAK ISLAND, NC (WWAY) — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two females they say used several stolen or fraudulent credit cards at an Oak Island Food Lion.

Police say it happened around Christmas time at the Food Lion in the 5900 block of East Oak Island Drive. That’s where they say the two women pictured in surveillance photos made several hundred dollars in purchases using both stolen and fraudulent cards.

Officers say the two women could be from another town. Anyone with information on the identity of these women, or about the crimes is asked to call the Oak Island Police Department.
