Official: Entire Town of Chadbourn under boil water advisory

CHADBOURN, NC (WWAY) — An entire town is under a boil water advisory until further notice Tuesday night, according to Chadbourn Town Manager Trey Burke.

Burke said damage to a fire hydrant caused the town to have to shut down the water system. He said about 1,900 people live in Chadbourn.

The entire town was without water earlier in the evening.
